Dual-Enrollment Partnerships

Since the 2010-11 academic year, Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) has provided dual-enrollment college courses to high school students enrolled in specific Christian high schools or homeschool groups.

All courses offered through this program are transferable to other colleges and universities as long as the student receives the grade needed for that purpose. At PBA, that minimum grade is C-. The courses are part of the regular curriculum published in the University catalog.

High school teachers at partnership schools can be credentialed to teach PBA DEP courses if they hold an earned master’s degree from an accredited institution, and 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline of the course being offered. Program chairs, deans, and other PBA administrators approve the academic and professional backgrounds of these DEP instructors in the same way they review and approve adjunct faculty.

DEP syllabi are reviewed each semester to assure that the content aligns with the master syllabus for the course as well as common assessment assignments used for all degree-seeking undergraduate students who take the course.
